Who we are...

Tail Chasin Treats is a family owned business by Amberly Livengood.  A true dog lover Amberly began her studies in holistic animal care about 4 years ago when her 11 year old black lab mix, Jynx, was diagnosed with cancer.  Being told she wouldn’t have long to live, Amberly begun researching other remedies for her.  One of which was nutrition.  Because of this Jynx lived happily till she was 15.  Unfortunately she never got to experience the dog treats that have come since, but Amber knows she would have loved them!

Amberly is a certified Canine Massage Therapist, studies Flower Essence Therapy for Animals, and Holistic Nutrition for Animals.  Shortly after finding two new dogs to share her lives journey with she began making treats for them and decided to see if other dogs would be interested in them as well.  Her response has been 2 paws up from every dog she has introduced her treats to.

As a mom of a beautiful young girl and two wonderful dogs, she wanted to make sure her treats were healthy as well as affordable.  Basically, she didn’t want anything going into them that she wouldn’t feed her own family.  So the quality of ingredients mean a lot to her as well as making them something that every pet owner could afford for their special companions.  The result is a variety of dog treats we know your dog will be chasin their tails over in excitement waiting for the next treat.

Who are our taste testers...

Both of Amberly’s Dogs, are mutts adopted from the Norfolk SPCA/Humane Society.  Cassie is her oldest, she is believed to be a Doberman/Shepherd mix.  Max is anybody’s guess as to what he is mixed with, but we are hoping that as he grows we will better be able to determine what he is.  Both are very lovable and affectionate and are very good at telling Amber whether her newest batch of treats are up to their standard.  Her best way of knowing is by the licking of the crumbs they drop.  They have been known to just walk away after a treat and leave the crumbs on the floor.  But when they are good, they are pushing each other out of the way to see if the other has dropped any.  Amber only sends out treats that meet these standards!  Max and Cassie are looking forward to sharing them with your canine companion!
